Conference Overview
Consistent with our advisor-centric franchise, CFDD ‘11 was designed by our advisor network. The bottom-up agenda consists of over fifty different breakout sessions. Populated by a Who's Who in The Industry, more than 100 recognized experts will participate in the predictive agenda, including the industry's most accomplished retirement plan advisors.
Known as the King of Content, our unbiased content remains at the top of the food chain. CFDD '11 will once again raise the bar and provide valuable takeaways that can be applied quickly and have a measurable impact.
An Evolving Industry
The availability of "do it for me" investment options has increased significantly. While few advisors have their arms around the full array of solutions currently available, vendor due diligence, non-fiduciary communication & education services, plan level model portfolios and participant elected managed accounts are all services that could be provided by advisors.
Based on needs, increased interest and the opportunity to grow higher margin business, participant advice and managed portfolios are poised to grow substantially. While successful outcomes will require a combination of customized solutions, participant advisory services are an area where advisors could add value and differentiate.
Given the evolving industry, a redefined advisory role and a need for direction, the CFDD will illuminate the path to new growth strategies. We will also provide guidance on scalability, co-branding and how vendor platforms can be used to distribute advisor services.
Added Value
As the only conference that focuses on advisor best practices, practical product applications and new growth strategies, no other conference can match the CFDD’s value, rich content, CE credits and advisor attendance.
In addition to the unmatched core CE credits offered by the CFDD’s Advisor Conference, registrants can earn the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation by attending fi360's pre-conference training on Sunday, October 16, 2011, the day before the conference. In addition to attending the conference and earning the designation, additional CE credits would apply to major designations. To facilitate staff development, advisors may bring one immediate team member at NO additional cost. Spousal attendance is also FREE.
Attendees further benefit from a conference CD-ROM, a fiduciary insurance discount program and access to all prior conference presentations. Complimentary food, beverages, snacks, a major Kick-Off Party and a Grand Prize Trip To Las Vegas For Two - including luxury accommodations at the Bellagio Hotel – are also included in the registration fee. Given that the CFDD's 2011 Advisor Conference was another homerun, CFDD '12 will return to the downtown Chicago Swissotel. The two and one-half day event will be held from October 22-24, 2012, a Monday - Wednesday period. CFDD '13 will be at the new San Antonio Grand Hyatt River Walk from October 7-9, 2013, another Monday - Wednesday period. Both are first class hotels teamed with new meeting facilities, state of the art communications and out the door entertainment for networking purposes. Consistent with the CFDD's franchise, the three C's continue to drive our decisions, i.e., content, convenience and a conduit to growth. While each CFDD conference has a core educational focus, the 2012 sub-themes are in the process of being determined. Developing New Higher Margin Business, Advisor Constructed Model Portfolios, Participant Elected Managed Accounts Via RIA Overlay Programs, Investing for Stagflation and The Impact of Tax Code Changes will certainly be among them. If you would like to participate in the 2012 agenda, please get involved early. NASCAR will be the marketing theme and the primary Grand Prize will include box seats at the Daytona 500 and luxury ocean front accommodations. A secondary Grand Prize will feature a package to Charlotte's ALL-Star May Race, including a hot pit pass (access to everything except the race car) and Buck Baker Racing School Classes.
